Kennedy Black Wealth Management
An outstanding entry point into financial planning. Kennedy Black is a small, fast-growing and genuinely forward-thinking wealth management practice — and we’re looking for a sharp, motivated individual to grow with us.
About Kennedy Black Wealth Management
Kennedy Black Wealth Management is a dynamic, independent financial planning business based in the heart of the City. We work with a carefully curated client base to deliver holistic, high-quality financial planning advice — and we take pride in doing things properly.
We’re at an exciting stage of growth. That means less hierarchy, more responsibility, and a real opportunity to make your mark from early on. You’ll work closely with experienced advisers and get genuine exposure to every corner of the business — something you wouldn’t get at a larger firm.
The Role
What you’ll be doing:
This is a trainee position, and we’ll be honest: some of the work in the early stages will be administrative. But that’s how great financial planners are made — by understanding the detail. As you develop, so will your responsibilities:
- Supporting advisers in preparing for client meetings — research, suitability documentation, and client files
- Managing client correspondence and ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Coordinating new business and onboarding processes end-to-end
- Liaising with providers and platforms on behalf of clients
- Handling client queries with professionalism and care, escalating where appropriate
- Keeping other members of staff informed at all times
- Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of a busy, client-facing practice
- Progressing towards a client-facing role as your knowledge and confidence grows
The Person
Who we are looking for:
We care more about who you are than what you already know. The right person will be curious, conscientious and keen to build a career — not just fill a seat.
- A degree-level education is strongly preferred — any discipline considered
- Exceptional attention to detail; you notice what others miss and take pride in getting things right
- A positive, can-do attitude and genuine enthusiasm for the role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — clear, professional and warm
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks without dropping the ball
- Discretion and integrity — you’ll be working with sensitive client information
- An interest in financial planning and personal finance (prior experience not required)
