about more than just a name. It’s been about community, innovation, and raising the standards of financial planning. But now, as our community has grown and evolved, it’s time our name caught up.
This post explains why NextGen Planners became Plannex, what Plannex stands for, and what it means for the future of financial planning.
From NextGen Planners to Plannex
When we launched NextGen Planners, the mission was clear: to modernise
financial planning, support the next generation of planners, and create a space
where new voices could be heard.
Over time, we realised something important; we weren’t just supporting the “next
generation” anymore. We were supporting the entire financial planning
profession; planners of all ages, backgrounds, and career stages.
That growth meant we had outgrown our name. The NextGen Planners brand no longer told the full story of who we are.
So, NextGen Planners becomes Plannex; a name that reflects both our maturity and our ambition for the future.
Why Plannex?
The name Plannex is short, punchy, and future-focused. It also reflects our
expanded ecosystem; one that connects financial planners, businesses, and ideas
under four powerful pillars:

and businesses. - Plannex Live – our flagship conference, reimagined for the future.
